The L1 virus outbreak has caused a global pandemic, changing the world as we know it. Those who have been infected by the virus have lost all of their inherent characteristics except for a ferocious aggression, resulting in countless casualties. The Prancesco area has become an anarchic place, with chaos and danger lurking around every corner.

Amidst this chaos, Lucy, a former student, is attacked by an infected person while on her way home. In a desperate attempt to escape, she runs away with Samuel, her next-door neighbor. However, little do they know that another near-death situation is waiting for them ahead.

As they face a world filled with despair and fear, a helping hand is extended to Lucy. Lucas, a former police officer, has become the leader of the civilian task force in the Prancesco area since the outbreak of the L1 virus. Despite realizing his limitations, he puts in all his effort to save the citizens and has a kind impact on those who are in despair. With his leadership skills, he establishes a special force unit with the best teamwork.

Owen, a young man covered in blood, has been wandering around the ruined city since the outbreak. As an Olympic shooter, his main skill is to accurately aim at the heads of the infected using only one bullet. Despite his quirky personality, he is usually a fun and friendly entertainer.

Cale, another member of the civilian task force, prioritizes subordination over personal feelings when it comes to completing a mission. To him, any threat to security must be eliminated, and he always strives to bring one more civilian to safety.

Samuel, a first-year orthopedic surgeon, is Lucy's next-door neighbor and childhood friend. When he visits his parents' house in Prancesco, he gets caught up in the chaos of the L1 virus outbreak and ends up in trouble with Lucy. Despite his clumsy side, he remains calm and quick in decision-making, often leading Lucy in emergency situations.
