This application is a remastered version of FINAL FANTASY VIII, originally released in 1999. It is now available for smartphones, with updated character CG and improved graphics. This installment is a one-time purchase, with no additional charges after downloading.

Before playing, please be aware of a few potential issues. Occasionally, your character may become stuck between a vehicle and terrain, or a vehicle may freeze in place. This is more likely to happen near impassable terrain or during scripted events. The only solution is to reload a previously saved game, so remember to save your progress often. Additionally, some areas may be difficult to navigate using the Speed Boost feature, so it is recommended to turn it off in those cases.

The story of FINAL FANTASY VIII takes place during a time of war, as the Republic of Galbadia, under the control of a sorceress, wages war against other nations. The player takes on the role of Squall, a member of an elite mercenary force, as he joins forces with a resistance fighter named Rinoa to fight against Galbadia's tyrannical rule and stop the sorceress from achieving her ultimate goal.

The remastered version of FINAL FANTASY VIII includes several features, such as the ability to summon Guardian Forces (G.F.) in battle to increase the power of the player characters. Magic can also be obtained through drawing in battle and can be used immediately or saved for later use. The junctioning system allows players to equip G.F. and magic to characters to enhance their abilities.

Additional features in this remastered version include Battle Assist, which allows players to max out HP and ATB gauge and activate Limit Breaks at any time, and the option to turn off random battle encounters. Players can also choose to play at 3x speed, except during certain cutscenes.
