This game is heavier and more complex than many other roll and write games, and it captures the tension and important decision-making that made Fleet so beloved by players.

In this game, players return to the beautiful Ridback Bay to reap its rewards. The game is played over 10 rounds, each with two phases: the Boat Phase and the Town Phase.

During the Boat Phase, the active player rolls a number of dice equal to the number of players plus one. Each player then takes turns selecting one die to use immediately. By choosing a boat die, players can check off the matching boat type on their sheet, unlocking license powers and boat launches to catch fish. The remaining die is then used by all players.

In the Town Phase, players roll a number of town dice equal to the number of players plus one boat die. Again, each player takes turns selecting one die to use immediately. In this phase, players can unlock special buildings in the Wharf for bonuses, earn points and catch more fish with awesome ships in the harbor, or go to the market for income and bonus actions. The remaining die is then used by all players.

Fishing occurs between phases in even rounds, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins. But that's not all - Fleet: The Dice Game also features a fully integrated solo mode where players can battle against Captain Ruth to earn the most points and reap the rewards of Ridback Bay.
