The GEPF self-service application offers numerous benefits to its members. One of the main advantages is the ability to access the latest benefit statements, providing members with up-to-date information on their benefits. Additionally, members can also access both current and historic tax certificates, including IRP5, IT3A, and IT3B forms for the past five years.
Another useful feature of the GEPF self-service platform is the ability to track resignation and retirement benefit claims. While this feature is currently limited to these two types of claims, the next phase of the platform will allow members to track all types of benefit claims, including child's pension, spouse pension, death benefit, funeral benefit, and divorce claim benefits.
Members can also use the self-service platform to update their personal information, such as their address and contact details. However, for security reasons, changes to certain personal information, such as surname and marital status, will still need to be done manually by completing a Z864 form and submitting it to the nearest GEPF office with supporting documents.
In addition to updating personal information, members can also nominate and update their beneficiaries through the self-service platform. This feature allows for easy management of beneficiaries and ensures that members' benefits are distributed according to their wishes.
The GEPF self-service platform also provides access to personalized communication, such as letters and newsletters, as well as important notices about GEPF services, processes, and benefits. This ensures that members are kept informed and up-to-date on any changes or updates.
Lastly, the self-service platform allows members to view the banking details that GEPF has on file for them. However, for security reasons, any changes to banking details will need to be done manually by completing a Z894 banking particulars form and submitting it to the nearest GEPF office with supporting documents.
If members encounter any technical issues or require assistance with information on the platform, they can also request a "Please Call Me Back" through the self-service platform. This feature allows for quick and convenient support for members.
