"Bit Game Maker" is a mobile app that allows users to create and publish their own original RPG games. It also provides access to a library of games made by other users, all for free. The app was developed in collaboration with the City of Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture.
If you are tired of free games that are filled with micro-transactions, struggling to find a game that suits your preferences, or looking for a simple RPG with a clear ending, then this app may be for you. It also offers a simple way for users to try their hand at game development and play games created by others.
The app features "Quick Settings" for beginners to easily create a game, as well as "Arrange Functions" for more experienced users to edit and fine-tune their games. With over 1000 image resources available, users can customize their games to their liking. There are also over 400 user-created games available for free.
The process of making and publishing a game involves setting the title, window color, battle system, and language, creating data for characters, items, and skills, designing maps, planning and placing in-game events, and finally publishing the game for others to enjoy.
This app was developed as part of the "Area Revitalization" project in Matsudo City and in accordance with federal policy. It is also supported by the "Matsudo Content Operator Network Association," an organization that promotes local digital content. The app also includes game assets from various creators.
