One Page Solo Engine

The One Page Solo Engine is an application that allows you to play your favorite tabletop roleplaying games by yourself. It simplifies the process by providing a framework for the game and answering questions that would normally be answered by a game master. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the game and create your own unique story.

To use the One Page Solo Engine, you first need to choose your game system, such as D&D, FATE, Savage Worlds, or Pathfinder. Then, you can build the character you want to play using the rules from your chosen game system. The One Page Solo Engine will assist you in framing the action and answering any questions that may arise during the game.

Once you have your character and game system chosen, you can begin your adventure. The first step is to roll a Random Event and Set the Scene. This helps to start the game in the middle of the action and allows you to visualize your character's surroundings and goals.

As you progress through the game, you can use the Oracle feature to ask questions and learn more about the world and your character's journey. The Oracle provides general and intentionally vague answers, allowing you to interpret them in the context of your game and add meaning to your story.

The One Page Solo Engine also allows you to record your character's actions using the Player Action button. This can be helpful in keeping track of your progress and adding to the story chain. Additionally, you can use Pacing Moves and Failure Moves to jump start the action or add unexpected consequences to your character's actions.

As you continue playing, you may need to generate new content such as quests, NPCs, or dungeons. The Generator feature allows you to do this, with the Generic Generator providing ideas for a variety of elements such as magic items, space ships, and evil organizations.

Once you have finished playing, you can export your story chain as an HTML or Plain Text file. This allows you to look back on your adventures and share them with others online.
