The ORB-12 watch is a unique and customizable watch face application that displays various planetary and lunar information. It features colorful representations of the 8 planets and the Sun, with the option to choose from 10 different hand styles. The background starscape has also been enhanced for better visibility.
One of the standout features of ORB-12 is the Lunar Eclipse Indicator, which outlines the moon-phase with a red ring in the hours leading up to a partial or total lunar eclipse. During a total lunar eclipse, the moon-phase turns fully red, representing the appearance of a "blood moon."
The watch face also includes a date display, with months displayed in English around the rim and the current date highlighted in yellow. The time is displayed through stylized elliptical orbital paths around the Sun, with the second hand represented as an orbiting comet.
Users can customize their ORB-12 watch face through the "Customise" menu, with options to change the color of the month names and digital time, show their position on Earth, and choose from 10 different hand styles. The "Complication" feature allows for additional data to be displayed, such as sunrise/sunset times and weather information.
For those who want even more at-a-glance data, there are hidden fields that can be made visible, including a large digital time display, step count, and a customizable information window. The battery status is also prominently displayed in the center of the Sun, turning red when the battery falls below 15%.
ORB-12 also includes an Always on Display mode, with red markings at the 9 and 3 positions. Fun facts about the solar system are also included, such as the fact that it would take Neptune 164 years to complete one orbit of the Sun.
The application is constantly being updated and improved, with support available through email or social media. ORB-12 also uses open source fonts, adding to its unique and customizable nature. Keep up to date with ORB-12 through their Instagram, Facebook, and website.
