To start the game, simply select a difficulty level on the title screen and tap the start button. From there, you must dive to periscope depth and use the hydrophone to locate enemy ships. After detecting their direction, you must surface and carefully approach the convoy. Once you are close enough, dive back to periscope depth to stay hidden and continue your approach.

If the enemy is within 5 km, you can switch to the periscope view and input torpedo targeting data using the T.D.C. This includes the target bearing, speed, range, and angle on bow. These settings can be adjusted using the periscope zoom for accuracy. Once all the data is inputted, the correct gyro angle for the torpedo will be calculated. Double-check all settings and tap the fire button to launch your torpedo. If you successfully sink enough tonnage based on the difficulty level, you will clear the mission. The remaining tonnage required will be shown in the upper-left message panel after each successful hit.
