This application is for the First Philippine bank that allows customers to open accounts through the app without having to visit a branch. Customers can choose from a variety of account options such as Personal Savings Account, PlayEveryday, Savings+, Lazada, or GetGo. A Visa debit card can be delivered to their home or office, and they can also immediately receive a Lazada Virtual Debit card for online shopping.
Customers can deposit checks 24x7, with UnionBank checks clearing after two hours even on weekends and holidays. For checks from other banks, the industry cut-off and clearing hours will be followed.
The app also allows for secure management of accounts, with the ability to view all accounts and credit card balances in one place. Real-time monitoring of savings, checking, and debit/ATM card activities is available, as well as the ability to view credit card spend, points, and statements. Customers can also lock/unlock, set limits, and control transactions on their Visa credit cards. They can also keep track of their loan repayments. The app has secured access enabled by OTP and biometrics, as well as self-service password reset and profile unblocking. Customers can also track their rank, view their points, and access leaderboards with PlayEveryday. They can also create goals and start saving for investments, emergency funds, or other aspirations.
Transferring funds and paying bills is made easy with this app. Customers can transfer funds to anyone, to any bank, at any time without enrolling or going to a branch. Real-time crediting is available for transfers between UnionBank accounts, and transfers to anyone are free with PESONet. For transfers up to Php 50,000.00, customers can use InstaPay for real-time crediting for only PHP10. They can also transfer US Dollars to other local banks for only USD1 through PDDTS. Paying utility, phone, rent, school, and other bills is also possible without enrolling billers for payment. Customers can save frequently transferred accounts and regularly paid bills, as well as schedule recurring transfers and bill payments. They can also send money to partner Remittance Centers such as Palawan Express, Cebuana Lhuillier, LBC, and PeraHub.
Customers can also request for payments or split bills with friends through the app. They can send payment requests to other UnionBank Online users using their mobile number, and split bills with friends without the need for worksheets. They can also generate their own QR code for friends to scan and pay.
The app also allows customers to schedule a branch visit, allowing them to get ahead of the queue and transact without any forms or signatures. They can also find the closest branch or ATM using the built-in locator.
Other features of the app include the ability to activate a new credit card, redeem credit card points, check for promos and discounts in the Voucher Wallet, and do USD/PHP conversions and view real-time FX rates.
