WAVE Intercom

The WAVE application is a communication tool designed for motorcycle riders. It offers a variety of features to help riders stay connected and organized while on the road. One of the key features is the Geo-Based Intercom, which allows users to start conversations with anyone in the Wave Zone by tapping a button on their Sena device. The Wave Zone has a range of 1 mile in North America and 1.6 kilometers in Europe, connecting riders within this radius.

Another feature is the Friends-Based Intercom, which allows users to add friends to their network for unlimited communication, even outside of the Wave Zone. This helps riders stay connected with their group no matter where they are riding.

The Live Location Display feature allows users to see their friends' real-time locations on a map, making it easier to stay organized and safe during group rides. This feature also helps riders keep track of each other in case of any unexpected situations.

The Intelligent Wave to Mesh Conversion feature allows for seamless switching between Wave Intercom and Mesh Intercom with just a single tap on the Sena device. This is especially useful when cellular service is unavailable, as the app will automatically switch to Mesh Intercom to ensure continuous communication.

The WAVE app also offers cross-brand compatibility, allowing riders to communicate with others using non-Sena devices. This promotes inclusivity and makes it easier for riders to stay connected with their entire group, regardless of the brand of their communication devices.

To use the WAVE app, users simply need to sign in and they can start enjoying their ride while staying connected with their group. The app can be accessed through the website or YouTube channel of Sena Technologies. Some optional access rights may be required, such as location, Bluetooth, notifications, camera/photo, and microphone, for features like real-time location display, connecting with nearby devices, receiving notifications, and voice communication.
