Wizard Warfare

Wizard Warfare is a turn-based strategy game with a retro graphical style and deep, complex gameplay mechanics. The game heavily relies on random and procedural generation to ensure that each playthrough is unique and offers extensive replayability. The ultimate goal of the game is to defeat all opposing enemy Wizards by settling and growing cities, building armies, hiring spellcasters, researching spells, and waging war until only one Wizard remains standing. The game is divided into two levels: the World Map and the Battle Map. On the World Map, players can explore, expand, produce, research, and manage their cities, while battles are simulated on the Battle Map. The focus on replayability is evident in the random generation of maps from various settings. If players find a map they particularly enjoy, they can easily regenerate it using the same initial settings and random 'seed' for future games. With three distinct magical schools, five different magical paths, and over 200 fantasy-themed units, players have a wide range of strategic and tactical options. Each school and path offers a unique experience, making playing as a Holy mage vastly different from playing as a Death mage. The game world is also hostile, with enemy Wizards, neutral cities, and rampaging monsters beyond players' borders. Players start the game with limited resources and must carefully choose their priorities. Focusing on exploration can provide valuable information about enemies and reveal lucrative monster lairs. Investing in magic and research can lead to powerful spells that can overwhelm enemies. Economic expansion can result in massive empires and armies, while early military expansion can catch enemies off guard. However, no single strategy guarantees victory every time. While it is not necessary to view every battle, understanding how troops perform in different situations and their strengths and weaknesses against various enemies can give players a significant advantage. The game also offers multiplayer gameplay through hotseat-style games on the same tablet, allowing players to battle against each other or team up against the AI. Some key features of Wizard Warfare include 4X-style turn-based strategy, strategic empire management, detailed tactical combat simulations, over 200 distinct unit types, three schools of magic with five different paths and 150 spells, random map generation, and hotseat gameplay for multiple players. Currently, the game only supports the English language.
