ALE IP Desktop Softphone

This application is designed for Android tablets and smartphones and provides business voice communication for both on-site and remote workers. It emulates the Alcatel-Lucent 8068 Premium DeskPhone, offering a fully-integrated telephony solution with quick and user-friendly access to telephone features. The goal is to optimize employees' productivity and reduce carbon footprint, as well as control communications, connectivity, and hardware costs. This application is available for both on-site and off-site use, making it easy to integrate both on-site and remote workers.

The application uses the VoIP protocol of the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise/Office to provide voice communications on the tablet or smartphone. It can be used on-site with WiFi and off-site anywhere the user can connect to the company's IP network via a VPN, including WiFi and 3G/4G cellular networks. It supports G.711, G722, and G.729 codecs and can be used in both business and contact center modes. The layout and keys are similar to the Alcatel-Lucent Smart DeskPhones, making it easy for users to adapt to the new interface.

The application also offers a multilanguage interface, with the same languages available as the 8068 Premium DeskPhone for the softphone display panel and English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Arabic for the application settings menu. To use this application, an IP Desktop Softphone license per user is required on the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise/Office. These licenses can be obtained from an Alcatel-Lucent Business Partner.

The minimum requirement for this application is Android OS 8.0.
