AT&T ActiveArmor Mobile Security is a free application that provides 24/7 protection for your mobile device. It automatically detects and blocks calls from potential fraudsters, spam callers, and other nuisance calls. The app also alerts you of potential spam risk, telemarketers, robocalls, and more. You have the option to allow, flag, send to voicemail, or block unwanted calls. Unknown callers are automatically sent to voicemail, and you can create your own personal block list to add unwanted callers. In addition to call blocking, the app also helps protect your data from mobile threats. It scans apps and files for malware and viruses, notifies you if your operating system has been tampered with, and ensures you have a passcode to keep your device and data secure. For added protection, you can upgrade to AT&T ActiveArmor Advanced Mobile Security for a monthly fee of $3.99. This includes all the features of the free version, plus public Wi-Fi protection, identity monitoring, reverse number lookup, caller ID, safe browsing, and theft alerts. The app uses the Device Administrator permission to function. To use the app, you must download it and accept the terms of service on a compatible device. Caller ID only works in AT&T HD Voice coverage areas. Safe browsing may not detect all suspicious websites and requires activation of public Wi-Fi protection.
