Photo Cleaner: Swipewipe

Swipewipe is a unique and efficient app designed to help users quickly delete unwanted photos from their phone. While there are other similar apps available, none of them have met our standards and worked as effectively as Swipewipe. Our goal was to create a simple, fun, and elegant solution that allows users to easily go through their camera roll and decide which photos to keep and which to get rid of.

The app works by allowing users to swipe right to keep a photo and left to delete it. If a mistake is made or the user changes their mind, they can simply tap the current photo to go back. For those who want more information about a photo, they can hold down on the picture to see its metadata. Once a month's photos have been reviewed, users can take one last look at the photos they chose to keep and delete before moving on to the next month.

As each month is completed, it will be crossed out on the main screen, but users can always revisit a month if needed. If a user needs to take a break in the middle of a month, they can quit the app and a progress wheel will appear next to that month, showing how much further they have to go.

In addition to the month-by-month feature, Swipewipe also offers an "On This Day" feature that displays photos taken on the same date in previous years. This feature is perfect for revisiting memories and deciding which photos to keep and delete. The app also includes bookmarks for setting aside any photos that the user wants to keep, a widget with streaks for the "On This Day" feature, and stats that show the number of photos reviewed and memory saved.
