Torque Lite (OBD2 & Car)

This application is a diagnostic tool for your car's OBD2 engine management system. It connects to your car using a cheap bluetooth ELM/OBD adapter. Some of its features include displaying and resetting engine fault codes, exporting map/track log files, and providing engine performance data such as 0 to 60 times and quarter mile times. It also has a head up display mode for checking your speed at night and data logging functions that allow you to upload data to your own web server. The dashboard is customizable with different themes and gauges.

This is the free/basic version of the application, which allows you to test it out and see if it works with your specific vehicle and adapter combination. However, it may contain some small bugs and may not work with certain ECUs from Nissan, Chrysler, and Subaru. The paid version has more features and supports a wider range of vehicles and ECU types. It also has a nicer interface and no advertisements.

The paid version includes additional features such as horsepower, torque, and 0-60 tests, as well as graph data and map/track views. It also has better support for ABS and knock sensors, transmission temperature support for certain makes of cars and trucks, and turbo boost for more vehicles, including VW. This application works with a variety of vehicle makes from different regions, including Ford, GM, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, and more.

Please note that there have been reports of the app freezing or hanging after quitting on the HTC Evo 4G and Galaxy Tab. This is due to a bug in these devices and can be triggered by using certain bluetooth-enabled apps. Disabling the bluetooth settings in these apps can fix the issue, but it is ultimately up to HTC and Samsung to release a fix. The pro version also supports USB ELM adapters with 'Prolific' or 'FTDI' chips.

An update has been made to the full version that includes a workaround for the freeze/hang issue on the HTC Evo 4G and Galaxy Tab. This was a result of a lot of effort and is available in the General Preferences settings. The developers encourage users to be original and SEO-oriented when using this feature.
