VARO Cold Chain Reporting

This application is designed for healthcare workers who have access to mobile phones. It allows them to connect their smartphones to refrigerators in their facilities and transmit data to regional and national locations for monitoring maintenance and performance. This bridge between facilities and remote locations helps ensure the proper functioning of refrigeration units.

Once the app is installed, the local healthcare worker can connect their smartphone to the refrigerator's temperature logger using a small USB adapter. The app then collects a 30-day temperature report and attaches it to an email with a photo of the fridge, manufacturer and model information, timestamp, and GPS location of the facility. This data is then transmitted via mobile data or WiFi to an authorized recipient at an email address chosen by the user.

Originally designed for use in the vaccine cold chain, Varo can be utilized in any system that uses refrigeration units on a local or global scale for any purpose. It is compatible with a wide range of Android smartphones currently in use worldwide. This makes it a versatile and accessible tool for healthcare workers in various settings.

The developers of Varo do not have access to the reports or any other data transmitted through the app. This ensures the privacy and security of the information being shared.
