However, it does not automatically extend the life of the battery, it simply assists users in managing their battery levels. The app provides audible and visible notifications when the battery reaches the user-defined low and high levels. This includes a colored blinking LED, if supported by the device. The default range of 25% to 85% is a good balance between battery care and usability. The app will continue to remind users every 5 minutes when charging and every 15 minutes when discharging, as long as the alert is not dismissed. It is recommended to fully charge and discharge the battery about once every other month to calibrate the internal power gauge. Users can also set a silent period during which the sound notifications will be disabled. However, the notification symbol and LED will still be shown when a limit is reached. The app also includes a shortcut to the system's own battery usage monitor, located at the top right corner. The app has been designed to use minimal resources and is ad-free. It is important to note that on Android 7 and newer, users must turn off battery optimization for the app to work reliably. The Pro-Features option, available through in-app purchase, offers additional features such as logging of plug and unplug times, customizable notification tones, and battery temperature indication. The log records every charging cycle, including time and battery level, to help users better understand their charging habits. There is no limit on the number of cycles recorded and they can be deleted individually or as a whole. Short charging periods or interruptions below 5 minutes will be ignored in the log.
