This can include a UK photocard driving licence, UK passport, non-UK passport with a biometric chip, UK biometric residence permit (BRP), UK biometric residence card (BRC), or UK Frontier Worker permit (FWP). In addition to a valid form of photo ID, you will also need a well-lit area to take a high-quality photograph and an Android phone with Android version 10 or higher. The process of using this application varies depending on the type of photo ID you have. If you have a driving licence, you will need to take a photo of it and scan your face using your phone. If you have a passport, BRP, BRC, or FWP, you will need to take a photo of your photo ID, scan the biometric chip, and scan your face using your phone. After completing the identity check, the app will only confirm your identity and you will be directed back to the government service website you were accessing to view the results. Privacy and security are top priorities for this application. Your personal information will not be stored in the app or on your phone after use. All data is collected and deleted securely when it is no longer needed.
