Kotak Mobile Banking Lite

This app is currently in its beta stage and is only available to Kotak customers who have a savings or current account or a credit card. If you are a new customer or an existing one with other relationships such as loans, demat, investment, or insurance, you can still use the existing Kotak banking app.

The app offers various features such as payments and transfers, where you can make UPI payments up to ₹1 Lakh by scanning a QR code or entering a phone number. You can also transfer large amounts over ₹1 Lakh using NEFT/RTGS payment options. Additionally, you can schedule automatic monthly payments to your contacts, such as domestic help, driver, or pocket money. You can also receive money directly in your account by sharing your unique Kotak account QR code.

The app also provides a unified view, where you can see all your relationships with Kotak in one dashboard. This includes your savings or current accounts, debit or credit cards, deposits, and payments. You can also quickly show or hide all balances to maintain your privacy.

With the card management feature, you can temporarily lock your debit or credit card for security purposes. You can also disable certain types of transactions whenever needed and block your cards immediately in case of loss or theft. The app also allows you to view all transactions of your credit card in its current cycle and review past credit card statements.

The app also offers smarter investing options, such as enabling ActivMoney, which automatically switches your extra account balance into a deposit to earn more interest. More investment features are also expected to be added soon.
