More About RF Analyzer

RF Analyzer turns your Android device into a real-time spectrum analyzer for Software Defined Radio (SDR). Visualize and listen to radio signals around you - from amateur radio to broadcast signals and beyond.

RF Analyzer is an application that allows users to explore radio signals in a hands-on and interactive way. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced users. The app offers various features such as live spectrum and waterfall plots, demodulation of different types of signals, and the ability to record raw IQ samples for offline analysis. It also has a comprehensive bookmark manager for stations and bands, and the option to download and synchronize databases for shortwave radio, POTA, and SOTA spots. The interface is modern and responsive, with a Material Design layout. Users can scroll, zoom, and tune through the bands, and there is built-in help and an offline manual for assistance.

The app can be tried for free for 60 minutes, with only actual usage of the analyzer counting towards the time limit. After the trial period, users can make a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version, without any subscriptions, accounts, or ads. The app is a hobby project and supporting it helps the developer to continue improving and developing it.

To use the app, users need an Android phone or tablet with USB OTG support, and supported SDR hardware such as HackRF, RTL-SDR, Airspy, Airspy HF+, or HydraSDR. Note that RTL-SDR Blog v4 and RTL-SDR Direct Sampling are fully supported. A USB OTG adapter is also required, unless the SDR has a USB-C connector.

For those interested in learning more, the full user manual is available with tips for signal identification, basics of ham radio, and more. The app is created by Dennis (DM4NTZ) from Heidelberg, Germany, as a hobby project. It is released under the GNU General Public License v2 and the source code is available on GitHub. Users are reminded to comply with their local laws when using the app. Have fun exploring, learning, and listening to radio signals with RF Analyzer! 73!
