More About Sound meter : SPL & dB meter

Sound Meter is also known as Sound Pressure Level meter (SPL meter) , noise level meter, decibel meter(dB meter), sound level meter or soundmeter. It is a very useful app to do a sound test or measure environmental noise(noise test).

The noise level meter or sound pressure level meter (SPL meter) is an application that uses the microphone on your smartphone or tablet to measure the environmental noise in decibels (dB). It allows you to easily perform a noise measurement with your device, but keep in mind that the decibel value may vary compared to an actual sound meter.

It is important to note that the decibel meter or sound meter (dB meter) on your device is not as precise as an actual Sound Pressure Level Meter (SPL meter) due to the microphone being aligned to human voice. To improve accuracy, it is recommended to use an actual sound meter or SPL meter to adjust the decibel error before use. If you do not have access to an actual SPL meter, you can go to a quiet place and adjust the reading value to 20-30dB.

The application has several features, including the ability to measure environmental noise and sound in real time and display the minimum (Min), maximum (Max), and average (Avg) decibel values in the recording session. It also displays the measuring time and provides a reset button in case you need to reset the measurement. Additionally, there is a play and pause button for convenience.

The sound meter or decibel meter (dB meter) can measure noise levels up to 140 decibels, which is equivalent to gunshots. It also provides information on the noise levels of common sounds, such as ambulances, thunder, concerts, subway trains, motorcycles, alarm clocks, vacuums, traffic, conversations, quiet rooms, quiet parks, whispering, rustling leaves, and breathing.

Exposure to loud noises can be harmful to both physical and mental health, so it is important to avoid these environments. This application can help you monitor and measure the noise levels around you to protect your health and the health of your family. Don't hesitate to download the Sound Meter application and use it to stay informed about the noise levels in your surroundings.
