More About SSH/SFTP Server - Terminal

A powerful application allows you to run SSH/SFTP Server on your phone with full functional terminal.

This application is a server that allows users to access their device's files remotely using SSH/SFTP clients. It can be used with any network interface, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Tethering. Multiple users can be created, including an anonymous user with the username "ssh" and no password. Each user can choose to show hidden files or not, and can have multiple access paths to folders in the device's internal storage or external SD card. The user can also set read-only or full write access for each path.

The server can be set to automatically start when a specific Wi-Fi network is connected, or on boot. It also has public intents for scripting and can be integrated with Tasker by adding a new Task Action with specific information. The application has a home screen where the server can be controlled, including starting/stopping the server, monitoring connected clients, changing the port, and enabling automatic start on boot. There is also a user management screen where users and their access paths can be managed, and users can be enabled or disabled. The about screen provides information about the SSH/SFTP Server.

Users should be aware that the application may not work as expected if doze mode is activated. To avoid this, the application can be added to the white list in the device's settings. The application requires certain permissions, including WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE to access files, INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE to allow users to connect to the server. On Android P and above, the location permission is also required for users who want to automatically start the server on Wi-Fi detection.

Any SSH/SFTP clients can be used to access the server, including those on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and even browsers. Some tested clients include FileZilla, WinSCP, Bitvise SSH client, Finder (MAC OS), any terminal/File manager on Linux, Total Commander (Android), and ES File Explorer (Android).

If users encounter any problems, want new features, or have feedback to improve the application, they can contact the developer through the support email provided. Negative comments will not help the developer solve any problems. The application also has a privacy policy that can be found at https://xnano.net/privacy/sshserver_privacy_policy.html.
