More About Andronix - Donations

This is the donations app for Andronix and not the actual Andronix App to install Linux distributions. Please install the actual app from- https://play.andronix.app.

Andronix is an application that allows you to install a Linux system on your Android device without needing root access. This is made possible through the use of PRoot, which runs your preferred Linux distribution on your Android device. Andronix also utilizes Termux as the terminal for the Andronix Operating System.

With Andronix, you have the freedom to do almost anything you would like on your Android device. While there are some limitations due to the lack of full Linux kernel support, SELinux policies, and hardware constraints, many users have been able to replace their laptops and computers with Andronix. It is perfect for tasks such as web browsing, coding, and other activities that do not require heavy use of your phone's hardware.

One of the great features of Andronix is that you do not have to worry about multi-booting your system. This means that you can have multiple un-modded and modded operating systems installed at once, as long as you have enough storage space. You can install and uninstall as many operating systems as you like, giving you the flexibility to try out different options.

Andronix provides access to Linux containers through a CLI (Command Line Interface) similar to an SSH connection, a GUI (Graphical User Interface) with various desktop environments such as LXQt, Xfce, and LXDE, and GUI powered by window managers like Awesome, i3, and Openbox. More information can be found in the Andronix documentation at https://docs.andronix.app.

Andronix is completely free to use, with no ads. The un-modded distros are also free to use as much as you want. However, the modded OS is a paid feature, but it is a one-time purchase that allows for unlimited installs on unlimited devices. Additionally, users can support the developers by purchasing Andronix Premium, which offers perks such as online sync with Andronix commands and a web app for access on any device.

While Andronix is partially open-source, with the free distro tar files and shell scripts available on GitHub, the paid features, including the Android app and files for modded OS, are closed-source. However, the developers are open-source enthusiasts and offer free access to everything for life to developers and maintainers of open-source projects. They just need to get in touch and complete the verification process.

Currently, Andronix supports 8 un-modded OS and 4 modded OS. The un-modded OS include Ubuntu, Debian, Manjaro, Fedora, Kali (with some limitations), Void, Alpine, and beta support for Arch. Andronix also supports various desktop environments, including LXDE, LXQT, and XFCE, as well as window managers such as Awesome, i3, and Openbox.

To use Andronix, you will need the Termux (F-Droid version) app and an Android device with at least version 7.0 and one of the supported device architectures: ARMv7, ARM64, or x64. For more information and updates, you can visit the Andronix website at https://andronix.app or connect with the developers on Discord, their blog, GitHub, or Twitter.
